Appletree Avenue, Dinas
The development at Appletree Avenue will be constructed on the site of two large blocks of maisonettes that were demolished in 2016.
Once complete, the development will provide 14 new one and two bedroom affordable flats.
WRW have been appointed as the main contractor and works are due to start on site imminently.
Pentre Hotel, Llewellyn Street, Pentre
Recently we have submitted a planning application to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council (RCTCBC) to build eight new one bedroom flats for social rent on the former Pentre Hotel, Llewellyn Street site.
Please note: planning permission for the project has not yet been approved by RCTCBC.
Why are we building flats and not homes?
The flats will be built with the help of the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant. In order for us to be eligible for this grant we must build housing that meets the current social need in the area. Our partners, RCTCBC, have identified that there is a need for one bedroom flats in Pentre.
Who can live in the new properties?
Should the planning application be approved by RCTCBC, Trivallis will allocate the new units in the Former Pentre Hotel through the common housing register. Anyone who is interested in one of the properties can apply to join the register at www.homefinderrct.org.uk.
The scheme will have a local letting policy. This will set out a certain criteria applicants will need to meet in order to be considered for a property within the development.
