Trivallis has signed up to become a Disability Confident Committed Employer.

The Disability Confident scheme, run by Welsh Government, has 3 levels, which must be achieved before moving on to the next. The levels are:

  1. Disability Confident Committed Employer.
  2. Disability Confident Employer.
  3. Disability Confident Leader.

Carla Smart, Talent Attraction Partner at Trivallis, said: “We have decided to sign up to the Disability Confident scheme to become a more inclusive employer and change attitudes towards disability.

“We have now committed to take the steps to make the most out of having a diverse workforce, something I believe will have a positive impact not only on the organisation, but our customers too.”

There are certain commitments and activities that Trivallis must complete in order to move onto the next level of accreditation, including providing reasonable adjustments and inclusive and accessible recruitment.

To achieve the accreditation, Trivallis will be working with Remploy, the UK’s leading disability specialist, who offer expertise, advice and actions to assist in the disability confident journey.

Claire Lane, External Relationship Manager at Remploy, said: “We are delighted to be working with Trivallis and supporting the organisation on its Disability Confident journey. We look forward to building this partnership into something that will not only benefit new and existing staff, but also the wider community.”

Over the next few months, Trivallis will need to provide evidence to Remploy, who will then decide if the organisation meets the criteria and is a Disability Confident Committed Employer.
