133 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Caerphilly County over the past seven days, equivalent to a rate of 55.4 cases per 100,000 population.

Following this rise in cases in Caerphilly County, the following restrictions will be introduced for local people from 6pm this evening (8 September):

  • Indoor meetings and overnight stays will not be allowed
  • Mandatory face coverings indoors, including shops, for everyone over 11
  • No travelling to or from the county without a reasonable excuse

According to Wales’ health minister Vaughan Gething, these restrictions will be in place “until at least October” and more measures could be introduced if rates continue to rise.

Trivallis’ priority is the safety of staff and tenants. After reviewing the current Government guidance, we have decided that it does not affect our current offer of services, as all staff will be following the safe systems of work in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will monitor the situation and update our information immediately with any changes.

Regardless of where you live or work, if you have symptoms of coronavirus, you must self-isolate immediately and get a test.

  • New continuous cough
  • High temperature
  • Loss of taste and/or smell
