The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for heavy rain across our communities.
The weather warning comes into force from 12:00 on Thursday, October 29, to midnight on Friday, October 30 with prolonged periods of heavy rain that may cause flooding in some areas, as well as traffic/travel disruption.
We want to reassure tenants that our out of hours teams are prepared for any flash flooding. If you need to contact us for support, you can find all of our details, here: www.trivallis.co.uk/en/contact-us/

Flooding
If you are impacted by flooding due to extreme weather, please take note of the following advice to ensure that you are safe and sound.
- Flood water may contain harmful substances like sewage, chemicals and animal waste which could make you unwell. If you come into contact with flood water, wash your hands thoroughly.
- When cleaning your home after a flood always wear gloves, a face mask and sturdy footwear. Public health England has some useful advice on how to clean up your home safely after a flood, here: How to clean up your house safely.
- Before you start cleaning, take photographs to document damage and record the flood water height. Ask your insurer before discarding items that cannot be cleaned, like mattresses and carpets.
- If you use heaters or dehumidifiers to dry out your property, make sure there’s good ventilation. Never use petrol or diesel-powered generators indoors – their exhaust gases are potentially lethal.
Rogue Traders
Reports of rogue traders always crop up following bad weather, with scammers falsely offering support and claiming to be from housing associations, the Council or utility companies. ALL Trivallis staff carry ID cards so please check details before allowing them into your home or sharing information with them.
