Trivallis has created eight new, affordable and modern homes in Forge Lane, Pentre, as part of a £2million investment in the area.

Through a package deal with local developers, Weston Contractors, and thanks to a Social Housing Grant Funding from Welsh Government, Trivallis has utilised a brownfield site in Pentre to deliver 8 new one – bedroom apartments.

This scheme forms part of wider development and regeneration by Trivallis, in the village of Pentre, to support the need for one-bedroom accommodation in the area.

Sarah Kirton, Development Manager at Trivallis, said: “Working in partnership with Weston Contractors, we have built eight new, one bedroom flats to provide much needed affordable housing for the Pentre area.

“Our Forge Lane development is part of a £2m investment that Trivallis has made in the village. We are also constructing another eight flats on the site of the former Pentre Hotel and have completed a full refurbishment of six existing flats, next door, in Llewellyn Place.

“Trivallis is committed to regenerating the community of Pentre, and indeed all the communities in which we operate, through the refurbishment and construction of much needed, high quality, homes. We would like to thank Weston Contractors for all of their hard work in building these new homes throughout the challenging circumstances with Storm Dennis and Covid-19.”

This project is the first of its kind for Trivallis, which has worked with Rhondda Cynon Taf Council, local contractors and community members to identify where and what its teams should be building and redeveloping.

Sarah added: “Engaging with community members, RCT Council and contractor partners is essential for making sure development projects like this are successful, which is why we always aim to get them involved. Everyone has been very supportive of the works to regenerate Pentre, and we hope this new area-wide approach can be adopted elsewhere in our communities. I’m sure our tenants will be very happy in the new homes, especially as they were able to move in ready for Christmas.”
