What's Cooking? Easy Easter Nests

These chocolate nests are the perfect sweet treat.  With just three ingredients, they are super simple and low cost to make.  Giving them a go? Make sure you share them with us on Facebook and Twitter by tagging @WeAreTrivallis and using #ValleysMag and #TrivallisEaster.

Makes 12.

Nutrition: per nest

  • 200g milk chocolate , broken into pieces 
  • 85g shredded wheat, crushed 
  • 2 x 100g bags mini chocolate eggs 

You’ll also need:

  • cupcake cases 



Stir the broken-up pieces of chocolate in a small bowl placed over a pan of lightly simmering water. Once the chocolate is melted, pour it over the crushed shredded wheat and stir well to combine. 


Spoon the chocolate and shredded wheat mixture into 12 cupcake cases and press the back of a teaspoon in the centre to create a nest shape. Add 3 mini chocolate eggs to the top of each nest. Chill the nests in the fridge for 2 hrs until set. Enjoy!
