At the beginning of April, we set a challenge for a group of epic trekkers including Trivallis staff and tenants, to walk the equivalent distance of the Welsh Coastal Path; 870 miles, in just 30 days, from Chester to Chepstow. The challenge was set to raise much needed funds for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru and its work in RCT.

Now, as we reach the end of the 2nd week, we are delighted to announce that Team Trivallis has gone the distance and covered 870 miles in half the time. During week one, 486.86 miles were covered. This week, another 384.46 miles were covered. This brings us to a current total of 871.32 miles!

This week our Top Trekker of the Week is once again Amy O’Sullivan, who has covered a total of 52 miles. Well done Amy for covering the furthest distance this week.

What next?

With two weeks left in April and £90 left to raise to meet our fundraising target, we have decided to take the challenge up a level. We’ve extended the distance to challenge those taking part to head back up to where we began in Chester. We are aiming to walk another 870 miles by 30th April and, if we complete the challenge, it will mean Team Trivallis will have covered a total of 1740 miles in 30 days!

This is a charity fundraising event for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru. If you would like to sponsor Team Trivallis, you can visit our Just Giving page and submit your donation, remember to leave your name.

All funds raised throughout the challenge will go directly to the Dementia Connects service in RCT. You can find out more about this service and access the support, here.

Don’t forget, when you’re out on your trek, take a pic and share it with us on Facebook and Twitter @WeAreTrivallis using #TrekWithTrivallis.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that is taking part in the challenge. Keep up the great work, covering miles and raising funds for Alzheimer’s Society Cymru.
