With the children off for the Summer holidays, after another difficult year, we want to bring lots of fun, family activities for you to enjoy with a little help along the way.
Throughout July and August, we will be running our Summer campaign #TrivallisTimeForSummer and we want you to get involved. Follow @WeAreTrivallis on Facebook and Twitter, to make sure you don’t miss out.
Keep reading to find out what we have on offer for you and the family to enjoy this Summer…
Family Time Fun
If you’re looking for inspiration for days out or family fun on a budget, we will be sharing some ideas on how you can spend your Summer days with something for all ages. We’ll also be sharing information from the Welsh Government funded ‘Summer of Fun’, with details on what activities and opportunities are happening in your area.
Mental Health Support and Wellbeing
If you need a little support this Summer, we will be sharing advice to help your mental wellbeing, including a guest blog from Valleys Steps sharing advice on Summer wellbeing and the support sessions that are available for you to attend. We’ll also have advice on how to manage your post-lockdown feelings, if you’re struggling with leaving your home after spending so much time inside.
Safety Tips for Summer
Whether you’re spending time near the water or out in the sun this Summer, we want you to be safe. We’ll be sharing information on fire safety, being safe near water, protecting yourself from the sun and keeping your home secure.
Crafts and Cooking
We have a range of indoor activities too, especially if the weather changes and the rain clouds appear. We will have our activity book library, full of read along stories and activity packs to keep the little ones busy. A wind spinner craft that is super easy to make and perfect to add a little bit of colour to your garden or window. If you’d prefer to do a little bit of cooking rather than crafts, we’ll also be sharing our sunshine chilli, pitta pizzas and vintage cookies recipes.
Money Advice
Our Money Advice Team are always on hand to support you. We’ll have advice on switching your energy bills to save you money this Summer, money advice for students heading or returning to further education and support for those with Post Office card accounts.
