Update 6pm 2nd September 2021: This issue has now been resolved, thank you for your patience.
Original post:
Thousands of people across Wales and South-East England have been left without internet and landline use because of issues with Sky. Tracking website DownDetector reported that 98% of users were reporting issues with their internet connection.
Unfortunately, this is having an impact on our contact centre and our ability to deal with incoming requests. As a result, we are asking tenants to please be patient and only contact us in an emergency whilst the issues are ongoing.
Liam Orford, Customer Services Supervisor at Trivallis, said: “This situation is beyond our control. We are doing everything we can to respond to as many enquiries as possible whilst colleagues are experiencing connection issues and want to thank tenants for their ongoing patience.”
Sky has issued an update on the outage on social media. A tweet from the Sky Help Team said: “UPDATE: South East England/Cardiff Engineers are on site and working to restore service ASAP. You can keep up to date using the My Sky App… We’re very sorry for the inconvenience caused.”
