Updated 1st June 2022:
Following the fire that took place at our head office, Ty Pennant, in Pontypridd last night, we have been working closely with South Wales Police and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service to investigate.
Recent fire safety work to Ty Pennant meant the fire was contained to one section of the building, this is thanks also to the swift work of the fire crews on site.
We would like to thank the emergency services for their quick and continued support, and the public for their patience whilst the roads were closed to deal with the incident.
Whilst investigations are ongoing, the following measures are in place:
- Our offices will remain closed to staff and the public.
- Staff are asked to continue to work from home or remotely, as normal.
- Commercial tenants who rent office space have been notified and we are working with the organisations individually to keep them updated and to support them.
- We have CCTV in operation on site, including the roof where the fire took place, as well as 24hr security monitoring the building.
We would like to take this opportunity to assure tenants that this incident has not affected our day-to-day service.
Thank you to all colleagues who are working to support service crews and keep our services running for our communities.
