Trivallis housing association is holding four roadshows across Rhondda Cynon Taf as part of its ongoing commitment to tenant involvement and community engagement.
These are the first major community events run by Trivallis since before the Covid pandemic, and it is hoped they will signal to tenants and communities that “Trivallis is Back”.
The first event is in Cae Fardre, Church Village on Thursday 6 October, 3-6pm, with subsequent roadshows in Aberdare (Cornerstone Church) on 20 October; Tonyrefail (Capel Farm) on 28 October and Tonypandy (Pen Dinas) on 1 November.
Keiron Montague, Executive Director of Communities at Trivallis, said: “Even though we had neighbourhood teams and maintenance and repair staff working throughout the pandemic, it has been a long time since we have been so visible in our communities on a large scale like this.
Given the cost-of-living crisis everyone is facing, this is a crucial time to get out and talk to our communities so we can hear first-hand what support people need right now. We have a wide range of services and advice teams ready to help, so we want everyone to know that we are here, that we can help and that we can point them towards specialist support if needed.
Our experienced money advice team will be on hand to offer advice and support. They have a great track record and last year alone helped hundreds of tenants to access more grants, benefits and savings, putting around £1.9 million extra money in their pockets.
Our repairs team will be on hand to explain the service and even carry out emergency repairs on the spot. We will also be joined by various partner organisations.”
In addition to advice and support, Trivallis is also asking tenants to get involved with the association by providing feedback, comments, and even assisting with the design of new services and developments. There will also be free snacks and refreshments along with entertainment for young children.
Tenants living in each of these communities should look out for an postcard invitation landing on their doormat ahead of their local roadshow event.
