Trick or treat? Try making some spooky surprise truffles for under £1 this Halloween. Find out what you’ll need and how to make, below:

Ingredients:

  • 100ml double cream
  • 200g dark chocolate (chopped or broken into small pieces)
  • Handful of mini marshmallows
  • Handful of small sour fizzy sweets
  • An olive (cut into small pieces)
  • Chocolate sprinkles

How to make:

Step 1 – Pour the double cream into a pan and bring just to the boil.

Step 2 – Add the broken pieces of dark chocolate to a large bowl and pour over the hot cream. Stir until the mixture is smooth and the chocolate has melted.

Step 3 – Leave the mixture to cool and place in the fridge to chill for around 2 hours, or until solid.

Step 5 – Once the mixture is ready, scoop out a teaspoon of the mixture, insert either a sweet, olive or marshmallow into the centre and roll into a ball with your hands.

Step 6 – Repeat this process with the remaining fillings, you should be able to make around 20-25 truffles.

Step 7 – To finish, roll the truffles into the chocolate sprinkles to coat them and chill until ready to serve.
