Looking for decoration ideas for Halloween? Try making your very own Halloween banner to hang up to make your room a little spooky.

This craft has been provided by our charity partner Valleys Kids’, Artist in Residence, Anne Evans.

What you will need:

  • A4 paper
  • Scissors
  • Felt pens, pencils or crayons
  • Ruler
  • Sticky tape
  • String

How to make:

Step 1: Fold your paper in half.

Step 2: Put a mark at the bottom of the page in the centre, this will be for the point of your triangle banner piece.  Measure 3cm from the top of the folded paper and draw a line, across. Now join the end of the lines to the dot at the bottom to make a triangle.

Step 3: Carefully cut out your triangle, as your paper is already folded, you should have two pieces.

Step 4: Decorate your pieces of paper with your designs.

Step 5: Fold the top part of the paper over your string and use sticky tape to secure in place.

Step 6: Repeat the process until you have created a banner.
