Trivallis has been shortlisted for two UK Housing Awards for work to improve its communities.
The awards, run by the Chartered Institute of Housing and Inside Housing are the biggest awards in the housing sector and give organisations the chance to showcase the outstanding work they are doing.
Trivallis is a finalist for ‘Outstanding approach to regeneration’, for its work in Trebanog in partnership with Valleys Kids, Artes Mundi and the Arts Council of Wales. This project offers a unique opportunity for people to engage in art, culture and regeneration to create a community that is working not just for the present but the future too.
Partnership work with South Wales Police has been shortlisted for ‘Innovation of the year’ for using technology to tackle anti-social behaviour in communities.
Tracey Cooke, senior regeneration programme manager at Trivallis, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for everyone involved in these projects. Teamwork has been key to achieving this result, plus the collaboration between staff at Trivallis to get us to the shortlist. Regeneration Rocks!”
Shortlisted organisations will now go forward to the judging stage, where teams will have to present their projects to a panel in March.
