What do you know about Universal Credit?
Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs and it's paid once a month directly into your bank account. It is replacing the six following benefits:
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Income-based Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support (ESA)
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
You may be able to get it if you're out of work or are on a low income. You can't claim Universal Credit at the same time as any of the listed benefits. It's being rolled out in Rhondda Cynon Taff in November 2018.
